Daily Bible: 5/29/23 - 6/4/23

“God gave us a Spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”

Paul invites us to see the Christian life as a holy calling by God’s purpose to bring the light of the gospel of our Savior Christ Jesus to the whole world. And this calling is not exempt from suffering, sadness, or stress.

Paul challenges Timothy, and us who follow his example, to live courageously and to be connected to the Word of God with the focus of a soldier, the self-discipline of a runner, and the persistence of a farmer.

Each day, ask the questions from the daily Bible reading:

·        What does this passage teach me about God (Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit)?

·        What does this passage teach me about humans?

·        How is God calling me to respond to this?
